When our son was 1.5 years old, he was diagnosed with autism. Now he is 7.5, and throughout this time, we have made every possible effort to help him, to make his life healthier and more normal. We consulted a wide range of specialists working with children with autism, but there was no noticeable effect. I admit, our trip to Georgia, to your clinic, felt like a last-ditch attempt to perform a miracle, to reach our son’s soul.
First of all, we want to highlight the excellent level of medical care, the physical conditions, and the professionalism of the clinic’s staff (I am a medical professional and work in a hospital, so I have a good understanding of these matters). We especially want to emphasize the wonderful attitude towards us and our son from everyone who accompanied, helped, and treated us throughout the entire procedure and the whole trip.
Upon discharge from the clinic, we were told that the toilet training would be one of the first skills to appear in children approximately 3 months after the treatment. We were surprised by such a confident and specific prediction, as we were used to receiving very vague and general responses and forecasts from doctors. To our amazement, it happened exactly as they said—after years of struggling with diapers, with no success whatsoever, our son began using the toilet. At first, he would go after we reminded him, but without resistance, and then, later, he started doing it on his own initiative, almost without any “mishaps.”
After the treatment, the change in our child was visible before our eyes. Maxim is increasingly understanding spoken language. I can communicate with him in ways I never dreamed possible! Maxim began following requests like putting toys away, taking off/putting on clothes and shoes, grabbing his backpack, and helping carry grocery bags. I notice a significant reduction in the flapping of his arms. New sounds are appearing. He started imitating actions that we show him. He has become more affectionate, seeking hugs. He stopped running away from the playground when there are many children. His range of gestures has expanded, and with them, he can even explain that the ball is his, and the other children understand him!
I also want to note that Maxim never used to wear hats or caps, let alone sunglasses. After the treatment, here’s the result (see photo)!
Now, we are waiting for further changes in Maxim’s condition and well-being, hoping for the best. Slowly, we are also beginning to think about a trip to your clinic next year to undergo a repeat procedure and help our son even more.
